2. Last week’s results round-up: M1were out of the blocks with a win for the M1s as they beat newly promoted Cork Harlequins 4-1! Q1 goals from Ben Johnson and Evan Jennings were augmented by another corner from Ben in Q3 and another from James Walker before Quins got one back! Congrats to Josh Kelly on his first EYHL appearance and to James Clark and John Cunningham who played for the club for the first time!
The women’s firsts played an eight-goal thriller in their opening home game of the women’s EYHL2 qualifiers. Muckross edged in front 2-1 in Q1 and 3-2 at half-time despite goals from Aoife McNulty and Juliette Duffy and Juliette’s second kept us in the hunt but the visitors ended up winning 5-3.
Big opening wins for the W2 and W4s yesterday to start their league seasons! The 2s improved with each quarter with Alex Anne Kennedy setting them on their way with her first goal in her first game for the club before Millie Morton Bailey got the winner in a 2-1 result. The 4s, meanwhile, were 6-1 victors in Skerries with first club goals for Rebecca and Jessica Mooney. The W3 began their season with a lively 3-2 loss to UCD!
The girls enjoyed their first blitzes of 2026/27 with the 1st to 5th class teams going to Dalkey for a series of matches in the September sun! The U16 boys, meanwhile, produced a big win over Bray in a friendly match.
3. Cocktail party – October 17th, 7.30pm – get the date in the diary! It follows a full schedule of home matches at the club!
4. Parents Information Meetings – upstairs in the clubhouse, we will be running three sessions for parents of those in the youth section to find out more about how things run and so on
– Friday, September 25th – 7pm: 1st to 4th year parents
– Saturday, September 26th – 9.30am: boys up to 6th class
– Sunday, September 27th – 9.30am: girls up to 6th class
5. Youth goalkeeper Friday sessions – updated times; with a healthy number of goalkeepers signed up, sessions with James Coffey on Friday evenings will now be split into the following groups:
– Under 14s: 6.10 – 6.40pm
– Girls 1st year/6th class: 6.45 – 7.15pm
Under 16 boys/girls 7.20 – 7.50pm
5. October mid-term camp (Oct 27th to 30th) – early notice for this camp which runs during the half-term break for senior infants to 6th class boys and girls, member and non-members. From 9.30am to 2.30pm Price is €120

6. Groundforce! – the club will run another day of gardening works around the club in the coming weeks for which we will be looking for volunteers to take part! More info to follow
7. Re-turn – we now have three yellow bins into which you deposit your Re-Turn bottles and cans with all funds going to the club. It has proven a very handy source of income for the club so please consider dropping your empties in!
