Parking at TRRHC, Club Dinner & Fixtures

Parking at TRRHC

TRR HC has been receiving very negative online publicity regarding cars parking on the verge outside the club. The Gardai have said that driving onto cycle lanes and footpaths is illegal, as is parking on the area accessed via cycle lanes and footpaths. They plan to take action against any motorist found doing so outside TRR HC.

When parking in the grounds of the club has reached capacity, can all members and visitors please park in other car parks in the vicinity and NOT on the verge outside the gates. The club absolutely does not condone illegal behaviour, and such negative publicity can have serious consequences on the club

Indoor Success

There was plenty of Indoor action over the weekend with both our Uder 14 and Senior Men’s squad in action across the day!

Congratulations to the Under 14 Girls who came 2nd in the McCann Indoor Cup, losing a tigt final against YMCA 1-0. The team, made up of 1st & 2nd years, put together strong performances in qualifying for the finals day and on the day itself with the likes of Thea excellent between the sticks! All the players, and parents, enjoyed the hockey on show across the weekend and are already looking forward to the Indoor season next season!

Congratultions to the girls again and their coach Orna Bools on helping the girls get so far!

The Under 14 Boys were not so lucky in the Tommy O’Sullivan Indoor tournament as they came up against tough opposition and were on the wrong end of a series of tight contests. Well done to the boys on making it to finals day and thank you as always to Portrane Hockey Club and the Donabate Community Centre for hosting another series of Indoor weekends!

Lastly, but by no means least, congratulations to the Senior Men’s side after they won the Leinster Men’s Indoor after defeating perennial rivals Railway Union 8-3 in the final. They progessed to the final after defeating Monkstown by the same scoreline earlier in the day in St Columbas.

congratulations to the whole squad and management, who are now looking forward to the Irish Indoor finals, alongside Railway, as Leinster representatives next Sunday in Gormanstown!
