Club Dinnner
The annual Club Dinner is on February 29th in Old Wesley RFC with the night tipping off at 7.30pm with a three course meal, DJ til late and dancing til late into the night to celebrate what it means to be a Rover!

Irish Under 16 & Under Boys
Congratulations to Conor, Ben and Rex on their selection for the Irish Under 16 Boys squad announced in the past few days! #

Well done to Ben, Tom, Evan & former Rover Adam Walker on their selection for the Under 18 squad!

They are part of the U16 & Under Boys squads selected for a series against England in Lilleshall in February!

Mixed bag of results from the weekend as Rovers teams competed in blitz, league and Cup matches both Indoor & Outdoor across Saturday and Sunday!

M1 Drew 4-4 with Corithians in EYHL

L1 Lost 3-1 to Loreto in Division 2

M2 Beat Corinthians in Division 2

L3 Lost 3-2 in 1v1s to Corinthians in the Division 9/10 Cup Q/Fs

M3 Won 5-2 against Rathgar in Division 3

M4 Lost 3-1 to Kilkenny in Division 4

M5 Lost 4-0 to Clontarf in Division 5

M6 Won 5-2 against YMCA in Division 7

February 2nd

Irish Indoor Finals
The Men’s Indoor side fell at the final hurdle after losing 1-0 to perennial rivals Railway in the Irish Indoor final in the Kingfisher Arena in Galway on Sunday after the full-time score finsihed 3-3 with Railway coming back from 3-0 down to equalise in the last moments of the game.

Minor B – win
Inter A – lost in 1v1s in the Jacqui Potter plate

Under 12 Section 3 – draw
Under 14a Boys – won
Under 16a Boys – won and are through to the semi finals

Under 8 Boys – a range of games showing some excellent skills and team work
Under 10 Boys – a great atmosphere between two clubs (see previous Facebook post), a very high level of skill on show from both teams
1st Class Girls – an enjoyable afternoon with some fantastic touches and movement on and off the ball
2nd Class Girls – a really enjoyable experience for all creating and enying space
4th Class Girls – thanks to all who contributed to the Blitz with some good skills on show
5th Class Girls – good progression being made with spacial awareness in preparation for their league debuts in October.

We plan on showing the Ireland game in the Clubhouse at 2.15 with several teams at home throughout the day and the bar being open as well we would love to see any members, supporters or parents pop by and enjoy the match in the club and get to know your fellow members off the pitch!

LHUA Umpire training
The LHUA is hosting a training meeting on Thurs 13th February in Pembroke Wanderers Hockey Club at 8 pm. Open to ALL Club & Schools umpires – no charge.
