Fixtures, results and some good luck!!

Games of the week last Saturday go to the mens and ladies 3rds! The men took on St.James gate at home and walked away with an impressive 5-3 win. There were a number of up and coming young players displaying their talents and some smashing goals were seen. Dylan Cullen of the u16s scored a hat trick, while Lee Mooney and Stu Rigby Jones also got on the score sheet.

The ladies 3rds meanwhile suffered an agonizing loss to UCD in the cup, losing out on a semi final place on strokes. Having been well beaten by the same team just a week before, the girls showed tremendous spirit to draw the game and pushed UCD to the end.

Both teams are in action again this week with the men taking on Skerries at home at 2pm, while the ladies have a double weekend. Saturday they play Our Ladys away, and Sunday sees them making a trip to Skerries for 2pm!

Elsewhere the mens 1sts have a weekend off following their 3-2 win over Glenanne at the weekend. Peter Blakeneys cracking reverse proved the winner. While Glenanne made it difficult for the lads in the last ten minutes they hung on to take all 3 points, and ensured a 4 out of 4 record against the Tallaght side for this season. The u21 inter pros means there are no div 1 games scheduled for this weekend.

The mens 2s had a gutting loss to Pembroke 2nds last Sunday afternoon in the Railway Cup. Though they led 3 times, they were not able to take advantage of their chances and lost 4-3. They too are without a game this weekend.

The ladies 1st and 2nds are making up for their lack of matches last week by having to both face into double fixtures this weekend. Indeed the 1s are scheduled to play 3 games within 5 days. Wednesday night sees them due to travel to Naas to face Newbridge in what will be an important game if they wish to finish above Genesis in the league. Saturday they face tough opposition in the form of Loreto away at 1pm, while Sunday brings Pembroke to HQ at 3pm in a game brought forward to allow for a free weekend when Lindsay gets married!

The 2s take on a strong Rathgar side at 12.30 at home on Saturday, before facing an early trip to Swords for 11.30am on Sunday!

Back to the mens side the 4s are due to play Mullingar away, though a time has not been confirmed for that yet. The 5ths meanwhile will play Pembroke away. They managed to eek out a 1-0 win over Corinthians last weekend.

The ladies 4s have no match this week, but will be disappointed following last weeks 7-0 loss to a strong Trinity side.

The u14 boys will face their indoor finals this weekend. Great to see them doing so well in the competition.

Good Luck!

Best of luck to everyone in the club taking part in this weekends inter pro tournament in Lisnagarvey. Shane Madeley will line out for Leinster while brother Luke and Harry Morris will play for an opposing Irish u18 selection.

Well done to Mitch Darling and Phelie Maguire who have been called into Andrew Merediths senior panel for the upcoming World League round 2 in India!
