A busy week of representing on an international level!

Good luck to our favourite umpire and club member Ali Keogh who travels to New Zealand this week to umpire in the FOH Hawkes Bay international festival!

In other news, eight Three Rock players represented the Irish U16 and U18 boys over Easter weekend against Scotland! The U18s played their series in Jordanstown. Ireland won out by beating Scotland in their first two of three matches – well done Mark Samuel, Conor Empey, Ben Walker and Harry McMahon!

Meanwhile, Alistair Empey, Nick Judge, Luke Adams and Robert McCollum represented TRR alongside coach Niall Denham as part of the U16 boys who travelled to Glasgow for a series of matches. A tight tournament where Scotland won out overall.

Not forgetting our boys who represented Leinster U17s development at the HOD tournament in Holland, Alex Flynn, Alex O’Regan, Peter Lynch, Tom McLoughlin, Ben Adams and Ian Patterson were all involved as well as club member Emer Keogh who was manager.

Some photos of the boys can be seen here

Bar will be open to toast the end of the season!

The boys took on travelling side Crawford school last Monday..

Our Under 14 boys played at team from South Africa called Crawford School on Easter Monday.

They were a mix of 14, 15, 16 and 17 year olds. Our team were supplemented with a few under 16’s that were (thankfully) on the scene.

A good, fair game was played in good spirits and the final result was 4 – 3 to the visitors. Some of our smaller under 14’s were literally up to the waist of the bigger visitors!!

However, they all learnt a lot and the athleticism of the visitors was very impressive, as were their manners. Rick and Arthur Johnson umpired and were referred to as “Sir” throughout and decisions were definitely not questioned! A nice refreshing experience and a great day out for all!

Get your tickets now to see the season out in style!

This year’s club dinner is being held in Grange Golf Club at 8pm on April 16th. Dress code is formal, on the night there will be player of the year awards as well as volunteer of the year, followed by a DJ and bar until late, with tickets costing €55 and €45 for students.

Tickets can be reserved by contacting the social committee: Emma Hogan – emmahogan80@hotmail.com Becky Dawson and/or Aideen Dowling.
