A mixed bag of results for teams last week
The ladies 2nds suffered a 1 nill loss to Skerries in the Div5/6 cup, the goal being scored in the last minute of the game. The ladies 3rds had a great win against Botanic, while the 4ths and 1sts lost against UCD and Clontarf respectively.
On the Mens side, the 1sts put on a great defensive performance, producing a nill all result against reigning all Ireland champions Monkstown. The 2nds had a poor start against Pembroke going three nill down, however, they had a decent comeback but unfortunately just fell short, final score was 2-3. Some great hockey played by the 4ths but they unfortunately lost 0-2 to Navan. Super weekend for the 5ths, winning both their match on Saturday and on Sunday
Only two matches for the mens side on Saturday, the 3rds match cancelled due to Monkstown not being able to field a team. The 1sts have a tough weekend ahead of them in an EY league double weekend. They face Banbridge in HQ 3pm Saturday, and Pembroke away on Sunday, also at 3pm. The 5ths play St.James gate at 1pm.
On the ladies side, the 1sts have a free weekend. All other ladies matches are at home. At 11am the 2nds and 4ths play Hermes and Bray respectively, the thirds face Mullingar at 3pm
