The season returned with a bang last weekend, especially for the two mens sides in league action.

The mens 4ths comfortably beat Rathgar 4-0, with Peter Lynch grabbing two goals along with Kris Tan and Stuart Greene. Later in the day the 1st got a huge result coming from 2-1 down to beat Pembroke 3-2. Johnny Bruton nabbed the first goal early before Johnny ‘The Mac’ McCormack popped up with two crackers to seal the win.

On the ladies side, the 1st faced a much changed Trinity 2s side. Steph Baxter scored a wonder goal to earn her player of the match, but Trinity equalised to grab their first point of the season late in the second half. Pembroke got the better of both of our ladies 2s and 4s, winning 2-0 and 3-1 respectively. The 3s meanwhile had a 0-0 stalemate with Clontarf. On Monday night the ladies vets continued their fine season so far with a 6-0 win over Guinness.

All remaining mens teams return this week. The 4s face an 11.30 am trip to Kilkenny, while the 5th are also on the road for a 2.30pm start in North Kildare. The 3s face Glenanne at 1.30 at home, while the 2s face locals Corinthians at 1pm. The mens 1st finish off the day with a 3pm game at home to Glenanne.

On the ladies side, the 1s are in cup action away to Pembroke at 10am. The 3s have the only ladies home game of the day with an 11am start to Railway, while the 4s play Rathgar away at 12.30. The 2s face a double weekend, away to Avoca in the league at 2.15 on Saturday, and home to Navan at 3pm on Sunday
